Two favourites.
Hello and goodbye, December
Once again, this little blog has been neglected. I’ve got good excuses this time, though. I’ve been busy working on fun projects like The Locavore Edition whilst juggling other work and finding time to do other fun, but non-work related things. I’ve had a birthday, and also recently started a new job. I’m still adjusting, but it’s going well.
In any case, this long weekend just gone by was greatly appreciated, even if I didn’t do anything terribly exciting. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas weekend. I sure did—making (and eating) a feast for two, park times, lazing around and making the most of quiet Melbourne, including riding down Nicholson St without fear of being hit by cars!
Below is the weekend in pictures.
A delectable salad feast:

Summertime refreshments, yum!

P baked some bread today:

We had some really, really crazy weather on Saturday. A hailstorm! Giant balls of ice! It looked a bit like snow in some photos, which was nice. The blue sky came out a few hours later, of course. This town is crazy.

Boris!

Another long weekend looms ahead, and I’m looking forward to more relaxing times. See you in 2012!
The show

The Melbourne show was on this week… I didn’t go, but I found this photo in my archives. It’s not of a show, and not even in Melbourne, but I like it. I think going to a regional show would be a pretty interesting experience. Unfortunately I never went when I lived in Tasmania.
Meet Boris
It’s a sunny day and my little kitty, Boris, is just hangin’ in the sun. What a babe!

PS – More cat fun.
Moe Grizzly

I was in Hobart for the weekend (‘Hobart Music Week’) and had a lovely time catching up with friends and seeing some good bands. The above photos of Moe Grizzly were taken at a house show, featuring my good friend Phoebe on trombone!
Next time I fly to Hobart I think I’ll be better prepared and bring appropriate film for such things, instead of running around Launceston trying to find the right film.
